My story…

Welcome, so glad you popped in, I’m Vanessa. SOW DELICIOUS is the expression of one of my great passions – edible gardening. Some of my fondest childhood memories involve playing in the mud and now, as a grown woman, not much has changed. At heart, I love innovation and creating, and with my brain wired for ‘path finding’, I love trying tVanessa from Sow Deliciouso find better ways of doing thing
s. This love has taken me around the world finding gardening treasures in the form of delightful gardening tools, nifty gadgets and delicious vegetable seed which will inspire the ‘GARDEN DIVA’ in us.

Not everybody has a large space to make into their very own ‘home grown’ vegetable garden but almost all of us have a spot to grow a container garden and so most of my gardening goodies are perfectly suited for this type of vegetable gardening. Most of us would love to cook with some freshly harvested herbs from our garden or serve a salad filled with our very own home-grown, sun ripened, tomatoes. Not sure how? It brings me great pleasure to share my discoveries with you in my “How To Grow” video clips and blogs. Vegetable gardening is anything but boring and some of the vegetables I have grown can only be described as ‘delightful’. Ever heard of round carrots, white and purple striped eggplants, yellow tomatoes or pink beans? Try something different – SOW some DELICIOUS and grow the vegetable garden of your dreams!

Sammy from Sow Delicious Woof, am I happy to see you! I’m Sammy von Schnauzer. I got my Dogtorate degree in Horticulture from Doxford, specializing in edible plants, herbs and flowers. This makes me a Dogtor but you can call me ‘Dog’ for short. Like Vanessa, food gardening is one of my great passions. I love sharing interesting tips, remedies and ideas on all the fascinating plants we grow. We just love spending our days digging in the soil and soaking up the sun and I am so happy you have popped in for a visit so that we can share our latest discoveries with you. We will show you “How To Grow” the most incredible plants with designer tools to match. Come back often, because we love it when you visit us!

Wow ! I am soooooo excited to find such a wonderful website! Woof Woof! Three BIG welcomes….to you, Vanessa, to the Dogtor and to Me-self. As I am fond of eating nice fresh goodies but oh so lazy to grow my own, I do have high hopes that you will show me how. I dream of carefree herb gardening as well as harvesting some fresh salad greens and veggies without all the hassle. What a difference it could make to the salad if one could just dissappear into the garden and come back with arms full of fresh salad ingredients! Time to learn more. Thank you soooo much for your inspiration! Lots of love to you and Sammy.

Got a slab from my sister, when she got back home for the vacation. Looks really cool 🙂 Looking forward growing these next spring.
Are these your own, or do you by them from a producer? The idea is cool, and I actually use a similar, do it your own solution from a UK company.
    Nice webpage as well 🙂

Love the idea and especially that they are open pollinated! Cannot find carrots, or strawberries….any chance they will join the list?

Hi Thabi – as delicious as it may look our ‘Slab of Seed’ products are ‘soil chocolates’ that you plant in your garden and then the blocks grow into the plant of your choice AKA Gooseberry bushes. So in other words they are made up of Soil, Gooseberry Seed and organic nutrients…so don’t nibble unless you want soil in your teeth. 🙂 – Vanessa

I met you on the show this Saturday and I love your product, as I said. You mentioned that there was more online, but wow, what a selection. I am so glad there are people like you in the world that are truly making the world a greener place! Now to get some seed on!
